A farm attack took place on the afternoon of 28 January 2021, in Makwassie, in North West Province of South Africa. Heavily armed attackers opened fire, with high calibre weapons, on Johanna van Heerden as she arrived on the farm. The woman reacted and sped off.
Johanna van Heerden was fortunate to escape without injury. All role players responded to the attack. The attackers had fled into the bush, but there were no arrests.
