A farm attack took place on 10 October 2018, at 17:15 between Boons and Magalliesburg at Syferbult, in the North West. Three armed attackers waited for a woman and her 9 year old son to return home. Both were attacked and were tied up. A firearm, cell phones and cash were taken. She only managed to free herself and her son at 19h00 and call call for help.
All necessary services responded soon after. Both the woman and her young son have been severely traumatised by the attack. Nobody was physically injured during the attack. No arrests are made yet.
SAPS are investigating.
