A farm attack took place on 30 January 2023, at 07:00, on a farm in Rietfontein, in Hartbeespoort, in the North West province of South Africa.
Seven armed attackers arrived at the farm and overpowered four workers who were assaulted, tied up and left in an outbuilding.
When the woman (76) arrived shortly before 08:00 after doing the school run the attackers were waiting for her.
She was ambushed and the armed attackers dragged her from the car.
Threatening her at gunpoint they tied her up and also left her in an outbuilding.
The woman suffered an injury to her head during the assault as well as severe bruising all over her arms and legs.
After the attackers fled one of the workers managed to untie himself and he ran to a neighbour for help.
All role players responded and the woman received medical assistance.
Police are investigating the attack and robbery but there have been no arrests.
