Farm attack victim protecting himself allegedly threatened with arrest

Jacques Prinsloo a victim of a farm attack is threatened with arrest. A gang of eight or nine suspects attacked Prinsloo on his farm situated in Bojanala District, Madibeng Municipality, Buffelspoort, North West Province on Thursday October 20.

Apparently, there was a farm attack in the same area about an hour before Prinsloo was targeted as a victim. Around 20H00 Prinsloo was alone on his farm when a gang of nine suspects gained entry to the premises. Prinsloo sustained a cut to his upper arm, a blow to the head and bruises all over his body. While trying to protect himself against the arrogant and dangerous attackers, Prinsloo fired a few shots that killed one of the attackers and wounded another. The rest of the gang fled from the scene.

The police and the farming protection community responded to the call. Together with the dog unit they are trying to trace the tracks of the seven suspects who disappeared.

Elsa L, Brits Crime and traffic forum posted “if the alleged victim wounded or killed a suspect in an armed robbery a “GO” file is opened” (Forensic Death Investigation).

It would be tragic if Prinsloo is arrested and charged for the murder of two armed and dangerous criminals. For Prinsloo to be charged would mean spending time in a prison until a bail application is approved. Prinsloo acted in self-defense against a gang of eight criminals, and if he had not retaliated, he might not be alive today.
