A farm attack took place on 24 April 2022, at 00:20, on a smallholding in Mooinooi, in the North West province of South Africa. A man, Hannes was overpowered by four armed attackers who gained access through a window in his home.
During the attack Hannes was shot twice, once in the shoulder and once in the upper leg.
After the shooting the attackers fled the scene. The perimeter fence had been cut to gain access to the property. There were no other security measures in place.
A doctor assisted at the scene as Hannes had lost a lot of blood. He was transported to hospital and may have undergo surgery.
All role players responded and followed tracks to the tar road where they disappeared.
Police are investigating, but there have been no arrests. There is no other information available at this stage.
