A farm attack took place on Sunday evening, 7 June 2020, at 17:30 on a smallholding in Rietfontein, Hartbeespoort, North West province of South Africa. Trymore Wasarirevhu was overpowered and shot, once through the ear and then shot twice in the legs. His wife and daughter had arrived home during the attack and the attackers assaulted her demanding money and firearms. The attack took place in front of their disabled son (6).

The landlord who investigated the shooting also came under fire from the attackers from the nearby bush just after they had fled the scene.

The home was ransacked and a number of items stolen during the attack. The man and his wife were admitted to hospital in Brits. The police are investigating but there have been no arrests. There is no other information available at this stage.
