A farm attack took place on 25 November 2021, at 19:30, in Modderfontein agricultural holdings in Rustenburg, in the North West province of South Africa. Five attackers armed with firearms invaded the home of Martin Esterhuizen and held up the family.

The attackers who demanded firearms and money entered the home through an open sliding door.

Martin and his son were assaulted and tied up and Martin’s wife and two grandchildren were taken upstairs and tied up.

The attackers ransacked the home and fled with firearms, ammunition, TV, money, clothes and the families white Toyota Hilux GD6 JSR168NW.

Police are investigating the attack but there have been no arrests.
