A farm attack took place on 12 March 2020, at about 08:00, in Geluk, in the North West province of South Africa. An elderly couple were overpowered in their home by three attackers, one of which was armed. The elderly woman was hit in then face with the firearm during the assault.
The attackers fled with a number of items robbed during the attack.
Two of the attackers were shot and wounded in a follow up operation and the third is still on the run. The successful operation by PPS, the farming community, CCPG, RM members, Tactical K9 Africa followed up on the attackers who were tracked for a few km before taking refuge in thick brush and marshland.
A Shootout took place with the attackers and two of them were wounded.
The operation made use of three helicopters including support from the SAPS and their air wing. There is no other information available at this stage.
