A farm attack took place on 13 March 2021, on a farm between Swartruggens and Koster, in the North West province of South Africa. An unknown number of attackers poisoned the families dog and then attacked the family in their home.
The family was assaulted and tied up by the attackers who then ransacked the home and stole money, phones and a firearm. The family, who were not very seriously injured during the attack have been left was severely traumatised and are receiving the necessary assistance.
The dog, who was not killed is also receiving medical care.
Local farmers and other role players responded to the attack. The attackers fled on foot through the farmlands in the direction of Koster, but the trackers were unable to make any arrests.
