A violent farm attack took place on Sunday 15 December 2019, at 18:00, in Koedoesfontein near Zeerust in the North West province of South Africa. Andrew (66) and Christine Legrance were attacked in their home by two attackers and had to be hospitalized due to their injuries. Farmers in the area responded and cordoned off the area.
Christine who is a paraplegic was assaulted and thrown out of her wheel chair and Andrew suffered several stab wounds and was assaulted with an iron bar. The home was ransacked and the attackers fled on foot. After the attack and robbery Andrew managed to walk to neighbors and get help.
The swift reaction of the farmers led to the arrest of the two suspects and the recovery of all the stolen items. The police are investigating the attack. There is no other information available at this stage.
