A farm attack took place on the night of 19 December 2020, in Mareetsane, North of Vryburg in the North West province of South Africa. Robert and Naomi Pretorius were attacked in their home and assaulted by an unknown number of attackers who ransacked the home demanding firearms and money.

The attackers robbed the couple of firearms and other household items and fled the scene. The couple were not seriously injured but have been severely traumatised.

All role players and local farmers responded using tracker dogs and a helicopter and one of the attackers was arrested. The police are continuing with the investigation. There is no other information available at this stage.
