A farm attack took place on the night of 31 October 2020, at the Bloekom function venue in Krokodildrif, just outside of Brits, in the North West Province of South Africa. A couple, Basie and Marleen Niemandt, were attacked and overpowered and assaulted in their home. Basie was very seriously injured and was admitted to hospital with numerous stab wounds.
Marleen fought off the attacker and was lucky not to have been stabbed during the attack. The attackers then fled the scene. Police and role players responded but there have been no arrests. There is no other information available at this stage.
