A farm attack took place on 14 October 2021, at 18:00, at Weiter Raum along the N4, in Swartruggens, in the North West Province of South Africa. A man, Johan and his wife were having a braai when they were overpowered by by armed attackers.
One of the attackers fired off a shot into the tiled floor causing a piece of broken tile to hit into Johan’s wife’s foot.
The couple were assaulted while the attackers raided the home.
The attackers fled at 21: 00 in Johan’s Amarok bakkie with household items and a .38 Special revolver.
The vehicle was later found abandoned in Rietvlei just outside of Rustenburg.
All role players responded but there have been no arrests.
