On 23 March 2017 at 07:30 Conrad Beukes (70+) was attacked on his farm situated in Potchefstroom, North West.
An armed suspect entered the residence while two other suspects stood guard outside. A struggle ensued and the suspect was shot and killed. The other two suspects fled on foot.
The police and community swiftly responded to the incident, utilizing dogs, horses, drones and an aircraft in the search for the other two suspects.
No one has been arrest and the search continues.
Conrad was attended to by emergency services.
The police are investigating the incident.
