The police, through DNA analysis evidence, identified the body of a 7 year old Kgothatso Molefe, who was reported missing on Wednesday, 24 July 2019 in Tlhabane, close to Rustenburg.
It is alleged that Kgothatso went to school, but never returned home. She was reported missing the same day. Subsequently, an unidentified, burnt body was discovered on Friday, 2 August 2019 in Lefaragatlha by a passerby. As part of investigation, DNA samples were collected and send for forensic investigations.
The police are now investigating a murder case, after the DNA results confirmed that the body found, was of Kgothatso.
