The police in Mmabatho are looking for the next of kin of an unknown body found charred beyond recognition on Sunday afternoon, 22 July 2018 at approximately 17:20 at Madibe A Makgabana Village, Magelelo Section near Disaneng Dam.
The body was allegedly discovered by a passer by who alerted the police instantly.
Preliminary investigation revealed that it is a body of a woman around 22 years of age and the motive for the killing is still unknown.
At the stage, police are appealing to anyone with information, including those who have reported missing persons particularly women, to contact Detective Warrant Officer Jeppe Moepeng on 082 455 4486/ 079 897 1921 or crime stop number at 08600 10111.
