North West: Today, 8 July 2016 two suspects aged 39 and 45 will appear in the Ganyesa Magistrate Court for suspected stolen copper cables.
The pair was arrested in the early hours of Wednesday, 6 July 2016 for possession of suspected stolen copper cables. According to information, police in Morokweng received information about a truck suspected to be transporting scrap metals. A follow-up was made and the truck was found just outside the village.
It was during a search that the police found 18 bags of copper cables to the estimated value of R500 000,00 hidden underneath the scrap metals. Both the driver and his co-worker were arrested after failing to account for the cables.
