According to reports, a house robbery was reported to the police at about 10:00 on Saturday, 6 June 2020. On arrival at the farm, the police found a 64-year-old farmer, tied up inside his house. He and his 63-year-old wife were severely assaulted by three armed robbers.

During the ordeal, the farmer was poured with hot water by the suspects who fled the scene, after robbing the couple of their Nissan X-trail, cash, two cell phones and a bank card. The couple was admitted in hospital with serious injuries.
