A violent farm attack took place on a farm in Kuilfontein, Groot Marico near Zeerust, in the North West. Hans van Loggerenberg (80) and his wife were attacked. The attack took place on Monday morning, 16 July 2018 at about 11:00.
Hans had his skull broken after being chopped open from repeatedly being hit over the head and he was taken by ambulance to a hospital in Rustenburg, his wife locked herself in the bathroom and summoned help with an emergency radio and has been severely traumatised.
Hans was taken to theater were they are attempting to stop the pressure of the bleeding on his brain.
The police are investigating and there have as yet been no arrests.
