A brutal farm attack took place on the morning of 16 May 2019, between 07:00 and 08:00. Niels Muhl was attacked on his farm in Kroondal, in the North West province and very severely assaulted by the attackers. He was tied up, savagely beaten and is in hospital having been in theater for emergency attention. The attackers jumped on his head, broke his jaw in two places and knocked out some of his teeth.
His wedding ring, wallet, phone and farm keys were taken. He managed to escape and get to his brother Mark’s house about half a kilometer away. His Bakkie was later found in some fields not far from where they left him. Mark rushed him to hospital.
He can talk a little through broken teeth and is very sedated and uncomfortable.
