The body of Morris Boitumelo Maepa (35) was found on Friday, 22 July 2022, in the Crocodile River, Brits. A Judicial Enquiry (Inquest) is being investigated.

On 21 July 2022, the police in Mooinooi requested the community’s assistance in locating Morris Boitumelo Maepa (35), residing at Bokamoso section, Mamba informal settlement, close to Mooinooi.
According to information received, he was last seen by his colleague on Friday, 15 July 2022 at about 02:00, whilst on duty as a security guard. A search was conducted around the mine without success.
