The North West provincial police management welcomed life and 15 years imprisonment sentences that were handed down to a 34 year old Gert Juba Moroe by the North West High Court sitting in Klerksdorp on Friday, 17 August 2018.
Moreo’s sentence emanates from an incident in which he killed a 55 year old Annerie Grobler. It was reported at the time of the incident that Grobler was about to open her gate to fetch her employees at Tshing when Moreo suddenly came from the nearby bushes and attacked her on Sunday, 30 October 2016.
The Provincial Commissioner of North West, Lieutenant General Baile Motswenyane congratulated Ventersdorp Detectives and all other role players and members of the community for their contribution that led to securing of the sentence.
