A 68-year-old man was found dead inside a house near Brits with his hands tied with shoe laces following an apparent robbery, North West police said on Monday.
“The victim’s properties, including cellphone as well as safe with firearm inside, are missing while his vehicle, a Nissan NP200 bakkie was found abandoned in Letlhabile township with watermelons in the back. It is alleged that the victim was last seen with his two employees whose whereabouts are currently unknown,” said Colonel Sabata Mokgwabone.
The murder happened at Voltjiedorp near Brits on Friday. The man’s body had visible injuries.
“The police urge anyone with information that can assist in the arrest of the suspects to contact Sergeant Leonard Thoboka on 071 674 8763,” he said.
