Through collaborative effort by the police and members of the community in Letlhabile, three murder accused were arrested and remanded in custody until Tuesday, 24 October 2017, after a brief appearance in the Brits Magistrates’ Court.

The accused, Bothutelo Hlabi (21), Tshediso Matsoso (28) and Kapano Moleleki (18) appeared in court on Wednesday, 18 October 2017 following their arrest during the night on Sunday, 15 October 2017 for alleged murder of a 21 year old Tshidiso Moremi.

The latter‘s body was found with multiple stab wounds in the bushes at Maboloka village near Letlhabile at about 17:00. The body was found by young boys who were nearby.

It was during the investigation that the police received information that led to the arrest of the trio few hours after the gruesome discovery.

The North West Provincial Commissioner, Lieutenant General Baile Motswenyane lauded the community members for providing the police with information that led to these arrests. She encouraged members of the community to continue working together with the police in the fight against crime.
