Zeerust – A 59-year-old farmer was shot dead and his wife was assaulted in Zeerust on Sunday morning, North West police said. The man was killed by three men who broke into their house on Welverdiend Farm near Groot Marico, said Brigadier Thulane Ngubane.
The men shot the farmer and assaulted his 54-year-old wife with a panga.
