WHITE RIVER – Police are looking for any information that could lead to the location of a woman in her fifties, Mrs. Annetjie Myburgh, who was hijacked and kidnapped today at about 7:00.
Information at police disposal reveals that Myburgh was on her way to work when she was accosted by four armed men at the gate of her home. They hijacked her vehicle, a white Mitsubishi Pajero, two doors sport, with registration number CHF 482 MP. The suspects further forced Myburgh into the car and drove off with her.
The police have launched a massive manhunt for the kidnappers as well as an intensified search for Myburgh. The SAPS’s Airwing, K9 Unit, Flying Squad and other security cluster partners such as private security companies, are combing the area and following all possible leads to locate Myburgh and apprehend the perpetrators.
