
A 54-year-old woman is set to appear in the Acornhoek Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday, 17 June 2025, after being arrested in connection with the murder of her long-time partner in Boelang Trust, Acornhoek.
According to police reports, authorities were alerted on 13 June 2025 about the discovery of a male body in a room at the location. Upon arrival, officers found the lifeless body of a 63-year-old man lying on the ground with visible bruises on his neck.
Preliminary investigations indicate that the deceased and his girlfriend had engaged in an argument on Thursday, 12 June 2025. The altercation allegedly escalated, resulting in the suspect strangling the victim.
Following an intensive manhunt, detectives tracked down and arrested the suspect in Makhushane Village, located in the Phalaborwa area of Limpopo, on Saturday, 14 June 2025.
The suspect remains in custody as the investigation continues. Further details are expected to emerge during her court appearance.
