On the morning of 30 June 2019, Ria Oosthuizen who was deep in her 80’s, from Scoonstreet, Volksrust, Mpumalanga, was attacked in her home. At first it was reported that the house was torched and she passed away due to smoke inhalation. But it has now been revealed that in fact she was murdered and that books were piled up on her and set alight with candles.
There is no other information available at this stage and the police are investigating.
