Bones of a human being who is currently unknown were reportedly discovered in the field at a certain farm in Delmas on 1 September 2022 and the police are investigating an inquest case.

According to the report, on 1 September 2022, at about 15:30, Delmas SAPS received a call coming from a member of the public about the said discovery at Hekpoort farm in Delmas near R42 / Bronkhorstspruit Road.

Police went to the scene and upon arrival, it was confirmed that the bones were certainly of a human being and were found next to a tree. It is further reported that the discovery was made by a person who was engaged in game hunting at the farm.

Preliminary investigation thus far has revealed that the person could have been somehow dumped then set alight.

Police are still trying to establish the circumstances surrounding the person’s death. The identity as well as the gender of the person is unknown at this stage however police are currently probing an inquest which may probably be changed to murder looking at the evidence that points out to the theory that person could have been set alight.
