Two taxi association executive members killed, KwaNdebele

Police are looking for information that could lead to the arrest of dangerous suspects who fatally shot two executive committee members of KwaNdebele United Local and Long Distance Taxi Association (KULLDTA).

The victims were gunned down in separate incidents yesterday and this morning, 20 February 2018, respectively.

First to be killed, was 57 year old Timothy Zwane, who was allegedly shot by unknown number of men driving in a black Mercedes Benz whilst offloading commuters at Kgobokoane Taxi Rank on 19 February 2018, at approximately 17:00. During the shooting, a commuter also sustained serious injuries and rushed to hospital in a critical condition.

The second incident occurred this morning at about 09:00, in which a 61 year old man, Tari Joel Mnguni was shot and killed after he apparently attended a taxi industry related meeting.

In both incidents, no one has been arrested and police urge any person with information to call Colonel Isaac Magakwe at 082 302 6621 or call Crime Stop on 08600 10111.
