Two suspects aged 26 and 38 are expected to appear in the Standerton Magistrate’s Court today, 27 September 2023, following their arrest for possession of suspected stolen properties on Friday, 22 September 2023 in Standerton.

One of the suspects allegedly gained entry at the garage whilst the gardener was busy on the other side of the premises.

The suspect somehow accessed several properties kept at the garage. After realising that a bicycle and two grinders were missing, the house owner reportedly checked his Close Circuit Television (CCTV) and managed to notice the intruder entering the premises.

The matter was then reported to the Police in Standerton hence an investigation was instituted and the suspect was nabbed at Sakhile Extension 4.

Through investigation, Police were led to a certain address where suspected stolen properties were found. Another address in Sakhile was also visited by the astute members whereby additional suspected stolen properties, including a bicycle and grinders were recovered. Both suspects were arrested and charged for possession of suspected stolen properties.

The Provincial Commissioner of the SAPS in Mpumalanga, Lieutenant General Semakaleng Daphney Manamela has welcomed the arrest of the suspects.
