The South African Police Service (SAPS) Search and Rescue Team recovered two bodies from the Crocodile River near Kamagugu in Nelspruit on Sunday, 07 June 2026.
The deceased have been identified as a 20-year-old male and a female estimated to be between 18 and 23 years of age.
As officers were preparing to depart the scene, a family arrived and reported their son missing. According to the family, the young man was reportedly traveling in the vehicle associated with the incident.
