Mpumalanga police have arrested two men, aged 47 and 26, in connection with the murder of a 19-year-old male in the Mgobodzi Trust area, Ehlanzeni District.
The incident occurred on Monday, 29 September 2025. According to police, officers were dispatched to the scene to respond to a complaint of murder. Upon their arrival, an investigation revealed that a family dispute had escalated, culminating in the fatal assault of the teenager.
Preliminary reports indicate that the altercation followed allegations that the deceased had raped a 15-year-old girl.
Both suspects were subsequently arrested and charged with murder. They are expected to make their initial appearance before the Tonga Magistrates’ Court in the near future.
