The Provincial Commissioner of the SAPS in Mpumalanga, Lieutenant General Semakaleng Daphney Manamela has commended the exceptional work done by a team that she established herself in an effort to tackle new trends of serious crime which threatens the safety and security of the community of Mpumalanga.

The team reacted to an incident in which a group of suspects stormed into a Toyota (NTT) dealership on 27 June 2022 in Delmas and stole several vehicles.

Their freedom was short-lived as they were cornered by members of the team and arrested by members of the said team at Cleveland (in Gauteng Province) thereby recovering a Toyota single cab bakkie as well as a Toyota double cab bakkie with the arrest of the three suspects, Alassane Kani (29) and David Mushazazose (28), as well as Collen Nawana (61).

They are currently in custody and are due in court on 28 July 2022.
