Sheepmoor farm murder: Two employees sought, woman questioned

Members of the South African Police Service at Sheepmoor, near Piet Retief are looking for unknown men who brutally killed a 66 year old man from the farm, Waaihoek. Information at police disposal, revealed that the farmer, was last seen on Saturday, 8 June 2019, and was reported by a relative as missing, on Tuesday 11 June 2019.

A search was conducted and his body was found in the plantation, not far from his residence. A preliminary probe suggested that was struck repeatedly with a sharp object. It also appears that his firearm is also missing from his house as well as his two employees believed to be from the Kingdom of Eswatini, whose identities are yet to be established.

No arrest has been made as yet, however a woman has been taken in for questioning.
