Operation Shanela has been productive in assisting police to clamp down criminal activities and so it is for the Emzinoni police as they arrested seven suspects. The suspects were arrested on charges of drinking in public.
These suspects were apprehended during the operation that was carried out at Emzinoni between Friday, 22 December 2023 and Sunday, 24 December 2023.
According to a report, the men and women in Blue were carrying out operational duties and it was during this period when they cornered the said suspects.
The arrested suspects on charges of public drinking were given a fine.
The Provincial Commissioner of the SAPS in Mpumalanga, Lieutenant General Semakaleng Daphney Manamela has welcomed the arrest made by the members.
