On Wednesday, February 8, around 07H30 a farmer in the Platrand / Standerton district noticed a trespasser on his property. When the farmer approached the man, he ran into nearby fields and fired two shots at the farmer.
The farmer immediately alerted Kasselman Security and they informed the farmer that they were looking for two suspects allegedly involved in an earlier roadside armed robbery involving a group of woman.
The search was initially unsuccessful but later on, in the day, one suspect with a large sum of money was apprehended in the vicinity.
The investigation continues.
