Rape of boy (14), man arrested, Kabokweni

A 40-year-old man is expected to appear at the Kabokweni Magistrates’ Court on 31 July 2020, for allegedly raping a 14-year-old boy. The suspect had assisted the boy who had fallen, the man then innocently walked with him for a short distance before forcing him into an old abandoned house where the rape then took place.

The parents then reported the matter to the police hence the arrest of the suspect.

Provincial Commissioner of the South African Police Service in Mpumalanga, Lieutenant General Mondli Zuma, has commended police for the arrest. He has also raised his concern regarding lack of morals by some men, who continue perpetuating abominable and vicious acts of sexual assault against minors and women.
