On August 9, 2016 around 08:00 in the morning, in an intelligence-led operation, two men were arrested and +-R10.8 million worth of drugs were seized at the Inkomazi tollgate in Kaapmuiden, Mpumalanga.
The suspects’ vehicle was stopped and a police dog reacted positively to drugs. The vehicle was then taken to the police station and the drugs were found concealed in different compartments such as the spare wheel and engine compartment. The two men will appear in the Kaapmuiden Periodical Court.
It is indeed a massive drug bust, but will the justice system of this country keep the suspects behind bars and deny bail. So often perpetrators are arrested but granted bail and out on the streets doing the same evil business.
