A 24 year old woman who allegedly murdered her four children aged between 11 months and eight years appeared before the Witbank Magistrate’s Court on 14 January 2019, was remanded in custody for psychiatric evaluation.
According to information at police disposal, the woman allegedly called her family members informing them to go and check at her house in Klarinet, near Witbank. They reportedly went there and were met by a gruesome scene where dead bodies of her children were wrapped in blankets inside the house. She later handed herself to the police.
The ruling by the court was that she must be sent for psychiatric evaluation, therefore means that the matter is postponed to 14 February 2019.
