Protesters caused the Numbi gate of the Kruger National Park to be closed on Monday 7 January 2019. Pieces of glass and burning tires block the entrance so cars can’t move in or out of there.
The protest is about the lack of employment of local residents as well as poor public service delivery.
This is the umpteenth time that the Numbi gate had to be closed due to local protest actions not related to the Park’s operations.
