Members of the police in the province of Mpumalanga worked hard and managed to arrest three suspects, aged between 15 and 23 at Embalenhle. The suspects were arrested in connection with the reported cases of murder committed over the long weekend (22 December 2023 and 27 December 2023).
It is reported that on Friday, 22 December 2023 an 18-year-old male was stabbed to death, allegedly by a friend (15) at Embalenhle. After the incident occurred, a case was opened and police investigated the matter then arrested the suspect.
Meanwhile on Tuesday, 26 December 2023 a 15-year-old was murdered at Extension 18 in Embalenhle and his body was discovered in the early hours of the morning on that fateful day. A murder case was also opened and police investigated which led to the arrest of two suspects, aged 20 and 23 on Tuesday, 27 December 2023.
The arrested suspects are expected to appear at the Evander Magistrate’s Court today Thursday, 28 December 2023 facing murder charges.
The Provincial Commissioner of the SAPS in Mpumalanga, Lieutenant General Semakaleng Daphney Manamela has hailed the arrest of the three suspects and the applause goes to the men and women in Blue for the great achievement.
