The Provincial Commissioner of the South African Police Service in Mpumalanga, Lieutenant General Mondli Zuma has praised the integrated forces involved in the execution of Operation Fiela II since its inception. All the forces and departments concerned have shown enthusiasm and eagerness to make Mpumalanga a safe province.
An additional 23 unlawful firearms, ammunition, dagga and liquor were confiscated. Two vehicles, one used in the commission of crime and the other robbed from the owner, were also recovered.
All the suspects have already appeared at the different Magistrates’ Courts in the province.
“We will continue to stamp the authority of the state by creating a safe and secure crime free environment that is conducive to social and economic stability, supporting a better life for all, by providing a patriotic as well as selfless service to the community,” said General Zuma.
