A man, believed to be in his 50s, was found dead this morning in a veld off the R580 in Secunda, Mpumalanga.
Paramedics from the ER24 Secunda Branch arrived on the scene and it was reported by a member of the community that had been walking his dogs in the area.
Upon arrival, paramedics found the man lying on his back in the middle of the veld.
On assessment, paramedics found that the man had sustained a fatal head wound as well as numerous bruises over his body.
Unfortunately, the man had already succumbed to his injuries. Nothing more could be done for him and he was declared dead on the scene.
