During the launch, police were encouraged by various speakers to work harder than before, each day, with a view of rooting out criminal elements and creating a safe and secure South Africa.

Immediately after the event, the police at Kaapmuiden while busy with their routine, daily operations arrested a 38 year old man found in possession of two sets of Rhino horns, at the Nkomazi Plaza. The arrest occurred when the members stopped a sedan which was driven by the man for a search. They then noticed that the man had a cooler box placed on the passenger seat and upon opening it, they made the discovery.

The Provincial Commissioner lauded the astute members for their alertness and versatility that led to the recovery of the horns. He mentioned that poaching of endangered and protected species is one of the problematic crimes in the province and is therefore a priority.
