On Friday 3 June at about 15:00 Members of the Hawks received information about a Nissan bakkie NP200 that was allegedly transporting drugs from Mozambique to South Africa.

Members acted swiftly when they spotted the vehicle fitting the description.

The vehicle was stopped at the Lebombo Port of Entry and it was searched.

A total of 65 packets of crystal meth drugs with a street value of R19,5 Million was found hidden in the panels of the vehicle.

A 47-year-old South African male has been arrested and he will appear before the Komatipoort Magistrates’ Court on Monday for dealing in drugs.
