Kershaw farm murder: Protesters come out in droves - 3 accused remanded, Delmas

The three ruthless attackers who murdered Chantel Kershaw (44), appeared before the Delmas Magistrate’s Court on 13 October 2020. Again there was massive support, in the form of a peaceful protest, by concerned South Africans who have drawn a line in the sand against the Government and Police’s lack of interest in these atrocities and against the double standards of the failing justice system. More than 1000 protesters gathered and about 20 EFF supporters who stood one side.

This horrific farm attack and farm murder took place on 30 September 2020, just before 13:00:00, on a smallholding in Sundra, near Delmas, in the Mpumalanga province of South Africa. A mom Grieta Spiers (65) was brutally assaulted by two attackers and her daughter Chantel Kershaw (43) was assaulted and strangled to death.

Kershaw’s black gardener was also arrested for organizing the attack along with two accomplices. The three were remanded in custody and did not apply for bail. The case was postponed to 26 November 2020.
