Convicted killer Ronald Buyani insists that the state appoints a personal chef for him, or alternatively allow him to make his own food while in prison.

He is currently serving a life sentence for murder in the Barberton Medium B prison.

He has become tired of steamed food, claiming that he is a diabetic and used AIDS medication, which does not work too well with “jail food”.

According to his version, he was allowed to prepare his own lunch while in Durban Westville prison and was served a good breakfast. After his transfer to Barberton, this privilege was taken away from him.
