The Provincial Commissioner of SAPS in Mpumalanga, Lieutenant General Semakaleng Daphney Manamela has appreciated the efforts of the members for the swift arrest of a suspect. A 44-year-old woman is expected to appear before court for dealing in dagga.

The woman was arrested by Nelspruit SAPS Vispol members on Wednesday 26 January 2022.

The Visible Policing members were patrolling and they came across a woman and her male friend walking along the N4 carrying a suspicious bag.

They requested to search them and they discovered 9 packages of dagga hidden in the woman’s bag. The dagga is estimated to be worth approximately R15 000.

The police then arrested her for dealing in dagga and she is expected to appear before the Nelspruit Magistrate’s court on 27 January 2022.
