A farm attack took place on 23 November 2018, at 19:45 at Sundra, near Delmas, in the Mpumalanga province. A Single attacker wearing a balaclava, armed with a 9mm pistol overpowered a 38 year old farmer next to his tractor where he was working.
The farmer heard someone cocking a gun, after which he was shot in the lower leg. He made the farmer lay down and then robbed him of his firearm, and cash. The attacker fled the scene. His cell phone was in the tractors’ cab, which he used to call for help.
All services responded. He’s still in hospital in stable condition. No arrest has been made yet.
